Busy Oceanside Urgent Care Center seeking a Physicians Assistant/Nurse Practitioner for a Full time position, shifts will be 12 hours, 6 shifts per a 2 week period. Including weekends and Holidays. Must have one year of working experience in ER, Primary care or Urgent Care. We have a full Moderate Complexity Lab, state of the art Digital X-Ray equipment and a very friendly team oriented staff. It would be ideal if the candidate has some experience in Occupational Health, Workers Comp and spoke Spanish, but not a requirement. Description of Duties:

Performing focused histories and physical examinations for patients presenting with acute conditions such as infections, minor injuries, and exacerbations of chronic illnesses Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests, including labs, X-rays, EKGs, and point-of-care testing Developing differential diagnoses and treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies Performing common urgent care procedures such as wound repair, incision and drainage, splinting, casting, foreign body removal, and abscess care Providing patient education, discharge instructions, and follow-up recommendations Recognizing and stabilizing emergent conditions and arranging appropriate transfer to higher levels of care when necessary Documenting clinical encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record Collaborating with physicians, medical assistants, and radiology/lab staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care Adhering to clinical guidelines, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
