Job Summary Peak Dermatology is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing dermatology practice. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in medical dermatology and be comfortable independently evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of dermatologic conditions. The provider will work collaboratively with our dermatologists, advanced practice providers, and clinical team to deliver high-quality, efficient, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic dermatologic conditions. Perform comprehensive skin examinations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Diagnose and manage conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, skin infections, hair and nail disorders, and other dermatologic conditions. Evaluate suspicious skin lesions and determine appropriate treatment or referral.

Perform dermatologic procedures including:

Shave and punch biopsies Cryotherapy Intralesional injections Suturing and minor surgical procedures based on training and experience Photodynamic therapy (PDT) Provide wound care and post-procedure follow-up. Review pathology and laboratory results and communicate treatment recommendations to patients. Prescribe medications and manage ongoing dermatologic therapies. Educate patients regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, sun protection, and preventive skin care. Accurately and timely document patient encounters using EMA/ModMed. Follow appropriate ICD-10 and CPT documentation and coding standards. Collaborate with physicians regarding complex cases as appropriate. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and patient-safety requirements. Participate in clinical quality-improvement initiatives. Participate in clinical research opportunities when applicable. Provide teledermatology services when appropriate.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in CA. Current board certification as an NP or PA. Dermatology experience strongly preferred. Experience independently evaluating and managing dermatology patients preferred. Experience performing biopsies, cryotherapy, injections, suturing, and other common dermatologic procedures preferred. Experience with EMA/ModMed preferred but not required. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred. Strong clinical judgment and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide compassionate care to patients across a broad age range.
