Family Nurse Practitioner (Ambulatory Care)
Location:
Winterhaven, CA 92283
Shift:
Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Pacific Time)
Excludes Federal Holidays Estimated Start Date:
Pending Award and Completion of Credentialing Process Compensation:
Hourly Rate:
$70 Travel weekly stipends: $1,246 (If applicable) Please keep in mind that payroll is processed on a biweekly basis.
Contract:
6 months - 1 year with an option to extend
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide same-day and acute ambulatory care services in a collaborative outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while working within the scope of granted clinical privileges and IHS standards.
Requirements:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution Current Family Nurse Practitioner certification (AANP, ANCC, or equivalent) Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in any U.S. state or territory Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in ambulatory care, primary care, or urgent care Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) Experience documenting in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) Ability to obtain and maintain IHS credentialing, clinical privileges, and security clearance Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and same-day healthcare needs. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform procedures within clinical privileges. Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Coordinate referrals and higher levels of care when clinically appropriate. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care. Maintain compliance with IHS policies, patient safety, infection control, and quality standards. Participate in required credentialing, training, and quality improvement activities.
