hiring immediately for an FNP to work 2-3 days per week. They need someone with at least 3 YEARS or MORE experience in Family Practice or Primary Care. This role can lead into more hours but ideally start with 3 days per week. Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop individualized care plans. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and emergency care. Perform procedures such as suturing, IV infusions, catheterizations, dermal fillers, Botox injections (Botulinum toxin treatment), spinal taps, and esthetic laser treatments. Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physicians, specialists, nurses, and allied health staff to coordinate patient care. Provide triage services via telehealth or in-person consultations to assess urgent needs and prioritize care delivery. Participate in clinical research initiatives when applicable to advance evidence-based practices. Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, medication management, and post-treatment care. Support patients with complex needs such as those requiring dialysis management, hospice or palliative care, senior or memory care. Qualifications Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license with current certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Minimum of 3 YEARS of clinical experience in diverse settings including hospital medicine, emergency rooms, ICU/critical care units, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. (Preferably seeing Primary Care, Chronic Care and Behavioral Patients) Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Demonstrated expertise in procedures including suturing, venipuncture (phlebotomy), injection administration (including Botox and dermal fillers), catheterization, tube feeding management, and sterile techniques. Experience working with complex patient populations such as pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), behavioral health patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of coding systems including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding for accurate documentation. Familiarity with drug enforcement regulations (DEA) for prescribing controlled substances. Strong understanding of physiology principles relevant to acute pain management and critical care scenarios. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on compassionate patient education. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
