This is an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) who enjoys patient care but is looking for an opportunity to move into or deepen their experience in clinical research, work closely with investigators, and contribute to research that has the potential to shape future approaches to neurodegenerative disease. In this role, you will serve as a Sub-Investigator on clinical trials, partnering closely with Principal Investigators, physicians, nurses, clinical research coordinators, and other research professionals to ensure studies are conducted safely, efficiently, ethically, and in accordance with study protocols and regulatory requirements. What You'll Do You'll play an integral role in the day-to-day execution of clinical trials, including: Serve as a Sub-Investigator and partner closely with Principal Investigators across multiple study protocols. Conduct participant examinations, evaluations, informed consent discussions, and protocol-required clinical procedures. Assess, document, and respond to adverse events and review clinical safety information. Help participants understand research protocols, answer questions, and support them throughout their study experience. Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to clinical research coordinators and other members of the research team. Partner across clinical, research, and operational teams to ensure studies are conducted safely, efficiently, ethically, and in accordance with GCP and applicable regulatory requirements. Help strengthen clinical workflows, procedures, and best practices as IND continues to grow. You may be a great fit if you are a : Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with an active Connecticut PA or APRN license in good standing. Clinician able to serve as a Sub-Investigator for clinical trials in the U.S. Provider with demonstrated experience performing procedures such as lumbar punctures and skin biopsies. Clinician with demonstrated proficiency in obtaining vital signs and performing ECGs. Professional who brings strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with research participants and multidisciplinary teams. Current CPR-certified provider. Even Better If You Bring experience in clinical research or participant-facing clinical care; familiarity with
GCP, IRB
requirements, and Human Subject Protection principles; experience with biological specimen collection and handling; phlebotomy/BLS certification; or experience working with neurodegenerative disease populations.
