Job Description

Our client in DC is seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment starting Sep 14, 2026. This role involves working within a collaborative hospitalist staffing model, providing essential patient care, and contributing to a Trauma Center with a closed ICU. You will manage a diverse patient population, assisting with various cases across 136 med/surg beds and 20 ICU beds, ensuring comprehensive coverage primarily during night shifts from 7p-7a. Responsibilities and Duties Work within a hospitalist staffing model, including 2 MD Day shifts (7a-7p), 1 APP Day shift (7a-7p), and 1 MD Night shift (7p-7a). Provide comprehensive patient care in a Level III Trauma Center. Manage a patient load across 136 med/surg beds, with potential expansion to 184 beds, and 20 ICU beds. Operate within a closed ICU environment where 24-hour MD coverage is provided by Intensivists who manage all ICU care and procedures. Perform duties primarily during 7p-7a shifts.
