JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARYOF POSITION
The student in this position will gain experience understanding the clinical practice of a Nurse Practitioner. In this role, the student will gain knowledge and firsthand experience in the areas necessary to become a Nurse Practitioner. This role is well suited for the student who is enrolled in a PMHNP program of study.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow Objectives set forth in Learning Plan.- Conduct clinical assessments to develop treatment goals and objectives for treatment.
- Make diagnostic impressions and develop care plans to support client goals and objectives.
- Implement evidenced based interventions for perinatal depression/anxiety and caregiver/child bonding and attachment to support clients in obtaining goals identified in care plan.
- Routinely monitor and review clients' progress towards goals and modify care plan as needed.
- As needed, assist clients in the developing a crisis plan while following the crisis process.
- Meet all required deadlines for documentation for both billing and grant requirements;
- Attend all required meetings and trainings.
- Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity in working with women and families from diverse backgrounds.
- All must be done within a standard 40 hour week
- Other duties as assigned by Clinical Supervisor
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods. Training in evidence based practicesQUALIFICATIONS
Education Level Current enrollment in an accredited Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program required. Years of Experience Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families is preferred. Certification/Licensure Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
