Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatris to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients across various age groups, including children and the elderly. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, conducting diagnostic evaluations, and developing individualized treatment plans. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Provide urgent care for mental health crises, ensuring timely intervention. Administer injections as required for treatment. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using TherapyNotes software. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in nursing homes and outpatient settings. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions. Experience Proven experience in psychiatric nursing or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with TherapyNotes or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous. Experience administering injections is highly desirable. Background in urgent care settings or nursing homes is a plus. Knowledge of pediatric care practices is beneficial for working with younger patients. Strong understanding of various mental health disorders and their treatments.
