In this vital role, you will utilize your advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages, ensuring comprehensive care that promotes health and well-being. Your expertise will support a variety of specialties, including primary care, urgent care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and specialty areas such as gastroenterology and behavioral health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working within a collaborative and innovative environment. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, and dermal filler injections with precision and adherence to sterile techniques. Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties including emergency medicine, critical care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records. Provide patient education on disease prevention, medication administration, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes. Skills Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for efficient documentation. Proficiency in performing advanced procedures including botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, spinal taps, sonography, gastroscopy (gastric lavage), and airway management. Strong background in multiple specialties such as emergency medicine, ICU/trauma center experience (Level I & II), hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, nursing home care (including assisted living), hospice & palliative medicine, and post-acute care. Knowledge of coding systems including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), ICD coding standards for accurate billing and documentation. Skilled in managing complex cases involving infectious disease care, pain management (including acute pain), occupational health issues like Workers' compensation law compliance, and telehealth services. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory experience and medical imaging techniques such as sonography or radiology reports. Capable of providing specialized care for vulnerable populations including pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (memory care/dementia), individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring complex case management. Competent in performing procedures like phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques for infection control; tube feeding; catheter care; physical examinations; airway management; and specimen collection/processing.
