Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, delivering high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. In this vital role, you will collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, ensuring comprehensive care tailored to individual needs. Your expertise will support a wide range of medical services, from acute and chronic disease management to preventive health strategies. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop personalized treatment plans. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring safe medication management. Perform diagnostic procedures such as venipuncture, injections, suturing, catheterization, and basic laboratory specimen collection. Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical records, and billing information. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Provide patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Skills Extensive experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative care, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms for efficient medical documentation. Strong knowledge of pharmacology for prescribing medications within DEA regulations; experience with CPT coding for billing purposes. Skilled in performing advanced procedures like spinal taps, dermal fillers, esthetic laser treatments, tube feeding management, and ventilator care. Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; familiarity with emergency room protocols including airway management and trauma assessment. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using sonography or medical imaging techniques; experience with infection control practices. Excellent client communication skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across various healthcare settings including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments.
