Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner (PA/NP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical histories to establish accurate diagnoses. Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with collaborative practice agreements and state regulations. Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and sterile processing as needed. Manage acute and chronic conditions across diverse specialties including emergency medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, gastroenterology, and critical care. Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for detailed documentation of patient encounters and medical records management. Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, sonography, and medical imaging interpretation. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, case management, and follow-up services. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high standards of confidentiality. Support specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin injections for aesthetic or therapeutic purposes and esthetic laser procedures. Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance evidence-based practices within the organization. Experience Proven experience working in fast-paced healthcare environments such as hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers preferred), emergency rooms, or urgent care clinics. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth. Strong background in acute care settings including ICU or critical care units; experience with ventilator management and airway control is highly desirable. Skilled in performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheter care, spinal taps, and dermal filler administration. Experience managing diverse patient populations including pediatrics (infant/toddler care), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), hospice & palliative medicine patients or individuals with developmental disabilities. Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes and ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10) for accurate documentation of diagnoses. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and occupational health protocols; experience working within a teaching hospital or teaching environment is a plus. Prior involvement in clinical research projects or telehealth services that enhance patient access and outcomes is advantageous.
