Independent Contractor (1099) About the Opportunity We are seeking two part-time Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our physician-led inpatient rehabilitation and pain management practice serving Melbourne and Palm Bay. The role involves rounding at nearby facility-based settings, focusing on rehabilitation, recovery, pain management, and continuity of care. We offer predictable scheduling, collaborative physician support, and efficient workflows. Providers currently credentialed and/or holding active privileges within the Health First system, including Palm Bay Hospital and Holmes Regional Medical Center, are strongly preferred to facilitate expedited onboarding. Candidates who are not currently credentialed are also encouraged to apply and may complete the credentialing process. Documentation is incorporated into scheduled work hours, with no expected take-home charting when workflow is efficiently managed. Compensation & ScheduleNP/PA - 7-Day Coverage Seeking two NP/PAs to share coverage across a 7-day workweek Approximately 8 hours per day Providers will share the weekly schedule and rotate weekend coverage Alternating weekends and regularly scheduled days off $50-$60/hour , based on experience, efficiency, and clinical background 60-minute flexible lunch Brief travel between nearby facilities Each workday includes patient rounding, documentation, care coordination, and communication with the clinical team. About the Practice We are a physician-owned practice focused on: Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital-Based Pain Management Continuity-Focused Patient Care Optional future opportunities may be available in outpatient spine services for providers interested in additional hours or musculoskeletal/procedural exposure. Our practice emphasizes professionalism, collaboration, efficiency, and quality patient care rather than high-volume corporate medicine. Responsibilities Perform patient assessments and follow-ups Monitor rehabilitation progress and functional recovery Assist with pain management under physician collaboration Coordinate care with nursing, therapy, case management, and physicians Educate patients and families Complete documentation during scheduled hours

Qualifications Required:

Active Florida NP or PA license Board certification DEA license or ability to obtain

Preferred:

Health First credentialing and/or active privileges Experience in PM&R, inpatient rehabilitation, hospital medicine, geriatrics, orthopedics, or pain management Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability Experience is not required for the right candidate. Motivated providers with a strong work ethic and team-oriented approach will be considered.
