Job Summary We are looking for a clinician who believes psychiatric care should be thoughtful, collaborative, individualized, and deeply connected to the whole person. Someone who values the relationship between psychiatry and psychotherapy and wants to be part of a practice that is intentionally building a different kind of mental health care experience. Our practice is trauma-informed and highly collaborative, with clinicians who work with complex trauma, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, OCD, ADHD, grief, major life transitions, and a wide range of other mental health concerns. The right PMHNP will be someone who: Practices from a patient-centered and trauma-informed perspective Values comprehensive assessment rather than rushed medication management Understands that medication is one component of treatment and appreciates the role of psychotherapy, nervous-system regulation, lifestyle, relationships, environment, and individual history Is comfortable treating patients with complex presentations and recognizes the importance of differential diagnosis Uses medications thoughtfully and is willing to have nuanced conversations regarding risks, benefits, side effects, alternatives, and long-term treatment planning Values collaboration with therapists and other members of the treatment team Communicates exceptionally well with patients, clinicians, and administrative staff Is dependable, organized, responsive, and able to manage documentation and clinical responsibilities efficiently Maintains strong professional boundaries and high ethical standards Wants to become an integral part of a practice rather than simply work independently within one Is interested in growing professionally as the organization continues to expand

Responsibilities Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations Diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions within scope of practice Develop individualized treatment plans Provide ongoing medication management and psychiatric follow-up Monitor medication efficacy, side effects, safety, and treatment response Provide psychoeducation regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment options Coordinate care with therapists and other healthcare providers when clinically appropriate Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Participate in collaborative treatment planning for complex cases when needed Maintain appropriate prescribing practices and applicable state and federal standards Contribute to a supportive, ethical, and clinically sophisticated practice culture Experience Applicants must: Hold an active PMHNP license/certification Be licensed or eligible for appropriate practice authority in Florida Hold appropriate prescribing credentials, including DEA registration when applicable Maintain professional liability coverage as required Demonstrate strong psychiatric assessment and diagnostic skills Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills Be committed to ethical, evidence-informed psychiatric practice Be willing to provide in-person psychiatric services Be willing to enter into a formal employment or independent contractor agreement with Insight Psychiatry & Counseling that includes appropriate confidentiality, non-solicitation, and non-compete/restrictive covenant provisions, to the extent permitted by applicable law Experience working with trauma, anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, mood disorders, and complex clinical presentations is strongly preferred.
