Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) provides comprehensive, patient-centered medical care in a multi-specialty outpatient setting. The provider will deliver high-quality primary care services while also supporting specialty programs including medical weight management, pain management, dermatology, and preventive wellness services. This role requires clinical autonomy, strong diagnostic skills, procedural competency, and the ability to manage both acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan (adults primarily; pediatric care optional based on training). Core Clinical Responsibilities Primary Care Services Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, COPD, asthma, hyperlipidemia, thyroid disorders) Manage complex chronic disease care plans Conduct annual wellness visits and preventive screenings Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging Prescribe medications according to state regulations Provide transitional care management and hospital follow-ups Conduct pre-operative evaluations Provide patient education and counseling Documentation & Compliance Responsibilities Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Complete notes within 24 hours of patient encounters Comply with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives Maintain DEA registration and controlled substance compliance (if applicable) Assist with meeting value-based care and quality metrics Care Coordination Responsibilities Collaborate with supervising physicians and specialists Coordinate referrals and follow-up care Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings Supervise medical assistants and clinical staff as needed Communicate effectively with patients, families, and external providers Productivity & Performance Expectations See an average of 18-25 patients per day (depending on visit type) Maintain patient satisfaction scores above established benchmark Adhere to clinic scheduling standards Contribute to growth of specialty programs Required Qualifications Master's or Doctorate degree from accredited NP or PA program Active state license as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Board certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA) Experience in primary care required Experience in weight loss, pain management, or dermatology preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong clinical decision-making skills Proficiency in EMR systems Ability to work independently within scope of practice Excellent bedside manner and patient communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to handle a fast-paced environment Commitment to evidence-based medicine

Pay:

$55.00 - $65.00 per hour
