Job Description

Nemours Children's Hospital, Orlando is seeking a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pediatric Critical Care team. This is an exciting opportunity to care for medically complex children in a collaborative, high-performing PICU environment while growing your pediatric critical care expertise within a nationally recognized children's health system. In this role, you will work alongside a collegial multidisciplinary team that values excellent outcomes, teaching, teamwork, and family-centered care. You will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient care, support learners, and develop professionally in a mission-driven pediatric setting. Position Responsibilities Obtain patient and family histories and perform physical and developmental assessments. Develop diagnoses and participate in creating evidence-based management plans. Perform appropriate procedures within scope of practice and clinical training. Collaborate with intensivists, nurses, respiratory therapists, specialists, and other members of the care team. Provide education, counseling, and support to patients and families. Participate in teaching residents, students, and other learners in the clinical environment. Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and support quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Current, active, and clear Florida APRN or PA license in good standing. Current AHA BLS and PALS certification upon hire. Preferred candidates will have Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care certification and pediatric APP experience. Experience in intensive care, transport, acute care, or emergency medicine is welcomed. New-to-practice APPs with an appropriate pediatric or acute care background are encouraged to apply and will be supported through structured onboarding, mentorship, and training.
