Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our practice on a part-time/per diem basis. In this role, you will provide comprehensive patient care in a small primary care outpatient office. Your expertise will support a wide range of medical needs, from acute care to chronic disease management, ensuring optimal health outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories, utilizing your physiology knowledge and clinical evaluation skills. Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with collaborative practice agreements and HIPAA regulations, ensuring safe medication administration and adherence to DEA regulations. Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR/EHR systems and maintain detailed medical records compliant with HIPAA standards. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across specialties including gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, and occupational health to coordinate comprehensive care. Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice independently or under collaborative practice agreements. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU, telehealth, or nursing homes. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques (including sonography), CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding systems for accurate documentation and billing. Experience performing procedures such as suturing, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and basic life support certification. Background in critical & intensive care settings like Level I/II trauma centers or PICU is highly desirable. Skilled in patient assessment for geriatric populations. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on health coaching and treatment options effectively.

Pay:

$45.00 - $55.00 per hour
