In this vital role, you will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions in the comfort of the patient's home. Your expertise will help improve patient quality of life through innovative pain management strategies, including medication administration, procedural interventions, and patient education. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments focusing on pain evaluation, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations. Develop and implement individualized pain management plans utilizing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies such as botulinum toxin treatment and esthetic laser procedures. Administer injections, perform suturing, and manage IV infusions to provide effective pain relief and procedural care. Utilize advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Carelink, or Athena for accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, physical therapists, and behavioral health specialists to optimize patient outcomes. Engage in clinical research initiatives related to pain management techniques and new therapies to stay at the forefront of the field. Provide triage services for urgent pain issues via telehealth or in-person visits, ensuring timely intervention and appropriate referrals. Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in pain management or relevant specialty areas such as anesthesiology or geriatrics. Valid Driver's Licence. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Athenahealth, or similar platforms; experience with CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology related to pain management therapies including botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers. Excellent patient assessment skills with a focus on behavioral health considerations for diverse populations including, geriatrics, assisted living residents, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Ability to work effectively within HIPAA regulations while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive medical information.
