The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise across various specialties, including medical examination, health assessment and evaluation. The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive patient assessments, and deliver high-quality care in outpatient clinics setting. Knowledge of medical documentation, coding (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT), and compliance with HIPAA regulations is required. This role offers an opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices and innovative healthcare solutions. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments across various age groups including pediatrics, adults, geriatrics, and neonatal patients. Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing, laboratory testing and other diagnostic tools. Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA standards. Engage in patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, family planning, discharge planning, and disease prevention. Participate in case management activities including utilization review and discharge planning to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain current knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support accurate diagnosis and treatment across diverse medical disciplines Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in relevant specialties. Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks; familiarity with Athenahealth preferred. Demonstrated expertise in advanced procedures including IV insertion/infusion, venipuncture, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques; experience with DME equipment is a plus.
Clinical experience spanning multiple settings:
outpatient clinics, urgent care facilities, nursing homes or assisted living environments; familiarity with post-acute care is advantageous. Knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-9/10; CPT) for accurate documentation and billing purposes. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams dedicated to patient-centered care. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on complex health topics effectively.
