Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant•Gastroenterology Full-Time | Columbus, GA | $110,000•125,000 Preeminence Digestive & Liver Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing gastroenterology practice in Columbus, Georgia. Gastroenterology experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for an NP or PA who wants to develop expertise in gastroenterology while working directly alongside an experienced gastroenterologist. Candidates with backgrounds in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or other related specialties are encouraged to apply, as are qualified new graduates who are eager to learn and grow in a specialty practice. We're looking for someone who wants more than just their next job. Our goal is to find a provider who wants to build a long-term career with our practice, develop strong relationships with patients, and grow into increasing clinical independence as their GI knowledge and experience develop. What We Offer $110,000•125,000 annual base salary, based on experience Productivity incentive in addition to base salary Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k)/retirement plan Paid time off Direct physician mentorship and specialty training Opportunity for increasing clinical autonomy Epic EHR Supportive, collaborative clinical team Stable, physician-owned specialty practice Long-term growth opportunity with an expanding practice What You'll Do You'll work closely with our gastroenterologist and clinical team to provide comprehensive care for patients with a variety of gastrointestinal and liver conditions.
Responsibilities include:
Evaluate new and established patients Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions Develop individualized treatment plans Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing Provide patient education and follow-up care Coordinate ongoing care with the physician and clinical team Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic Participate in telehealth visits when appropriate Develop increasing independence in patient management as your experience and GI knowledge grow Qualifications Current NP or PA license/certification, or completion of an accredited NP or PA program with eligibility for licensure in Georgia. Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills Excellent communication and patient-education skills Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Ability to work collaboratively as part of a clinical team Commitment to continued learning and professional growth Preferred, but not required: Gastroenterology experience Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or a related specialty Epic experience New graduates who meet licensure requirements and are motivated to develop a career in gastroenterology are encouraged to apply.
