Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. We are a small, family owned, well established clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive clinical background, with experience across various medical settings, including acute care, primary care, and specialty practices. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care through advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered services in a dynamic environment. We are currently seeking a full time or part time member to join our team and rotate between our two offices. One small office in Temple, Ga with main office just outside Villa Rica in the New Georgia community. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements while adhering to HIPAA and DEA regulations. Manage diverse clinical cases across multiple specialties such as gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine. Perform procedures including suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, dermal fillers, spinal taps, and sterile processing techniques as required. Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records management. We currently have Athena EMR Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines to ensure coordinated patient care and optimal outcomes. Participate in telehealth consultations and outpatient clinics to expand access to care for diverse patient populations. Assist in diagnostic evaluations utilizing laboratory experience, sonography, medical imaging, and specimen processing techniques. Requirements Valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification from an accredited program. Demonstrated experience working in hospital settings such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; critical care experience preferred. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; telehealth experience is advantageous. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and drug enforcement regulations. Experience with procedures such as venipuncture, sterile technique, tube feeding management, and airway management. Background in acute pain management, hospice & palliative medicine, infectious disease care, or occupational health is desirable. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments including emergency rooms or urgent care settings; hospital medicine experience is a plus. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient education and health coaching; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is beneficial. Pay:
