Job Description

Washington County Regional Medical Center's Sandersville Family Practice is seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our Sandersville Family Practice team. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday opportunity for a provider who is passionate about primary care and building lasting relationships with patients and families in our community. Position Overview The Family Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive primary care services, including patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, medication management, preventive care, patient education, and coordination of care. Working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, the FNP will help provide high-quality, patient-centered care across a broad range of patient populations. What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Prescribe medications within scope of practice and in accordance with Georgia regulations Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies Provide health screenings, preventive care, and wellness services Evaluate patients' vaccination needs and provide appropriate education Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, nutrition, weight management, and healthy lifestyle choices Monitor patient progress and communicate test results Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals Refer patients to specialists or additional healthcare services when appropriate Collect specimens and order laboratory testing Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Participate in quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives Participate in credentialing and enrollment activities Maintain compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulations Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Minimum of 2 years of experience in a primary care setting Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Georgia Current Nurse Practitioner certification through ANCC or AANPCB Current BLS certification Strong clinical assessment, communication, and decision-making skills Ability to work effectively with patients, families, providers, and healthcare team members Additional language skills are a plus Why Join WCRMC?
