  • Advanced Practice Provider to join our NICU team in Sioux City, IA.

  • Join an established team of 3 physicians and 4 Advanced Practitioners
  • Level 3 NICU with an average daily census of 12 patients
  • 2200 deliveries per year
  • 275 NICU admissions per year
  • 16-20 transports from surrounding communities per year
  • Established practice serving the Sioux City area and surrounding communities
  • Opportunity to practice neonatology in an established and well-known system
  • Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
  • Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
  • Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access

Responsibilities

  • 24 hour shifts, 73 Shifts per year, rotate with 4 other providers
  • Daily rounding in conjunction with neonatologist
  • Ground transports
  • Delivery attendance
  • No call requirement
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • Specialty skills: intubations, lumbar punctures, PICC and umbilical line placement, chest tube insertion
  • Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
  • Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
    Qualifications
  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Hold an unrestricted advanced practice provider license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold a registered nursing license in the state of Iowa or a compact state
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States
