A Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner provides mental health and nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders or substance abuse problems. Diagnoses mental illness, develops treatment plans and prescribes medications. Teaches patient's family about the patient's condition. Works at hospitals with dedicated mental health unit, fully dedicated psychiatric hospital or in independent practice working from nursing homes and physicians' offices.

Job Description

About us ReMind Health is a psychiatric provider group focused on geriatric patients needing psychiatry located in nursing homes, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities. Our aim is to provide mental health services to a segment of the community that is often "forgotten" during their rehabilitation and journey back to baseline health. Many of these patients will be discharging to their homes within several weeks. These patients require mental health support during these often difficult transitional times adapting to their new medical diagnosis.
GOALS:
  • Support the patient while they transition to their new baseline
  • Provide accurate and timely charting to the facility
  • Recommend medication changes to attending provider
  • Be a good partner with the hosting facility

  • PMHNP licensed (unencumbered) in the state of Idaho
  • Computer literate
  • Comfortable in nursing homes
  • Compassionate
  • Willing to learn Current position is for twice a week, low acuity, rounding in a skilled nursing facility.
