Job Description

Advanced Practice Clinician at St. Mary's Health & Clearwater Valley Health in Orofino, Idaho, United States Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) to join our Rural Health Clinic and provide comprehensive primary and urgent care services to a close knit community. This role requires strong clinical judgement, independence, and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care across the lifespan. The ideal candidate enjoys practicing to the top of their license, values collaboration, and thrives in a rural healthcare environment. Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventative care, acute illness management, and chronic disease management. Perform patient assessments, physical exams, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning. Manage a diverse patient population across age groups and clinical presentations. Prescribe medications and treatments in compliance with state regulations and clinic protocols. Perform minor procedures within scope of practice. Ensure timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation. Provide patient and family education, care coordination, and discharge planning. Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team member. Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and patient safety initiatives. Meet productivity, documentation, and time management expectations appropriate for a rural health setting.
Qualifications:
Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License in the state of Idaho National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA as applicable) Strong clinical decision and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and manage time effectively.
