Job Description
Join a respected, high-acuity cardiovascular team providing inpatient cardiology care at a large regional medical center. This opportunity offers a predictable weekday schedule, collaborative physician and APP support, and the chance to practice in a dynamic hospital environment utilizing Epic EMR. The ideal candidate is a clinically confident Nurse Practitioner with recent inpatient experience who enjoys working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional cardiovascular care. Providers will manage and round on a diverse adult patient population while supporting continuity of care and discharge planning. Position Highlights Inpatient Cardiology practice Monday-Friday schedule Limited weekend coverage (approximately one weekend per month) Collaborative team of physicians, APPs, nurses, and support staff Epic EMR Consistent patient volume Opportunity to practice in a high-acuity hospital setting Travel assistance available for qualified candidates Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations Perform inpatient rounding and ongoing management of cardiovascular patients Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic studies Develop and implement treatment plans Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care Document patient encounters accurately within the EMR Minimum Requirements Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure Certification through a nationally recognized accrediting body (AANP, ANCC, or equivalent) Specialty certification as required by client or state regulation Minimum of one year of NP experience preferred Current CPR/BLS certification if applicable Ability to meet all client credentialing requirements Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Preferred Qualifications Prior inpatient cardiology experience Experience working in acute care or high-acuity hospital settings Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills Experience with Epic EMR Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
