09/03/2026 Job Description Job Description We are seeking a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Physician Assistant with a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Psychiatry to join our outpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment program. This position is ideal for a psychiatric provider seeking a flexible, low-commitment opportunity while making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric and medical evaluations Complete required physical examinations and medical clearances Review laboratory and diagnostic testing Assess patients for Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) when clinically indicated Evaluate, diagnose, and manage co-occurring psychiatric conditions Collaborate with counselors, therapists, and treatment staff in a multidisciplinary setting Maintain timely and compliant clinical documentation Practice under the supervision and clinical guidance of the Program Medical Director, with consultation available as needed Schedule Approximately 1 hour per day on average Flexible scheduling Additional patient visits by appointment as needed Hybrid, telehealth, or in-person arrangements may be available depending on program needs Qualifications Current Illinois licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Physician Assistant with CAQ-Psychiatry Active DEA registration with Schedule III prescribing authority Eligible to prescribe buprenorphine for opioid use disorder Experience in psychiatry, addiction medicine, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), or behavioral health preferred Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based care Ability to work collaboratively under established protocols and Medical Director oversight Compensation Competitive hourly or per-appointment compensation Flexible schedule with minimal weekly time commitmentBenefits
