09/03/2026 Job Description Job Description About the Job Primary Care Services, (PCS) is an established, independent primary care practice. PCS is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for opportunities in office and facility settings in and around Lombard and Glendale Heights, IL.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient examinations and treatment Ordering diagnostic and therapeutic modalities Prescribing medication Patient and family education Hospital rounds Patient documentation Ability to work well independently and with a team Strong communication and problem-solving skills Willingness to work some weekends and take after-hour calls Performs all other duties/responsibilities as assigned as dictated under the scope of practice EDUCATION and
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Graduation from an approved school for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants required. Must possess and maintain licensing as required by Illinois State law for NP/PA. Valid CPR certification required. ACLS certification preferred. Based on prescriptive authority, active Mid-level Practitioner Controlled Substance License and DEA License are required. Prefer a minimum of 1-2 years working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience consummate to the specialty for which the candidate is applying.
