Diagnoses mental illness, develops treatment plans and prescribes medications. Teaches patient's family about the patient's condition. Works at hospitals with dedicated mental health unit, fully dedicated psychiatric hospital or in independent practice working from nursing homes and physicians' offices.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are encouraged to focus on their clinical passions Psychiatric evaluations Medication management, and/or Psychotherapy Nurse Practitioners scheduleONLY 1-2
encounters per hour depending on clinical preference You will have a personal relationship with the CEO and Administrative team so your voice is heard Job Requirements IL License or ability to obtain license in Illinois Certified in Psychiatric training IPD staff will handle any credentialing and all Administrative demands!
