We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our outpatient mental health team. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, high-quality mental health care and medication management to clients as young as age 5 through adults. This is a contract/1099 role. The pay is $100 for 60 min visits and $50 for admin time. The ideal candidate will be available to work two evenings a week (Monday & Thursday). Potential for some flexibility on the days of the week worked and growth opportunities in the future.Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and ongoing psychiatric and physical status based on the presenting symptoms and complaints, establish patient diagnoses, and manage medications for ages 5 through the lifespan in an outpatient setting Documents clients' medical and psychological histories, physical assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and outcomes for assigned clients Educates clients and family members about mental health and medical conditions, preventive health measures, medications, and treatment plans Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members including psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians and therapists to develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plansQualifications:
Masters of Science in Nursing, with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis, from an accredited college or university (required) Licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the Illinois Board of Nursing (required) Experience working with children ages 5+, adolescents, and adults (required) Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience Experience working in higher level of care/hospital setting (required) Experience working with eating disorder populations (preferred) Superior analytical and problem solving abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsSimilar jobs in Vernon Hills, IL
