Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections to provide comprehensive care. Manage acute pain and critical care cases, including ICU and emergency room scenarios, utilizing your expertise in airway management, ventilator support, and trauma protocols. Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and billing processes such as CPT coding. Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, specialists (e.g., gastroenterology, ophthalmology), nurses, therapists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care plans. Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance treatment protocols and patient safety standards. Provide telehealth consultations to extend care access remotely while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence. Experience Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU or Level I/II trauma centers. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for efficient documentation and patient record management. Extensive clinical practice in areas like critical & intensive care, geriatrics (including memory care), behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, or pediatric care including neonatal ventilator management. Skilled in performing complex procedures such as sonography, gastroscopy (gastric lavage), catheterization (cardiac or urinary), tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques. Experience working with special populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring assisted living or memory care services. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and utilization review processes for occupational health cases. Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis using ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) along with CPT coding for billing purposes. Familiarity with advanced diagnostics like laboratory testing, medical imaging (e.g., sonography), or medical imaging techniques relevant to internal medicine or emergency settings.
