The facility maintains an established clinical team that includes psychologists, therapists, and administrative staff to support continuity of outpatient psychiatric care. Locum tenens coverage is sought on an immediate basis for a period of 2-3 months. The city features walkable neighborhoods, access to outdoor activities along the Ohio River, and a well-established bourbon culture along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Clinicians on assignment may also explore nearby destinations such as Mammoth Cave and Red River Gorge, along with local events, parks, and dining options available throughout the year. About the Clinician's Workday The psychiatric nurse practitioner will provide outpatient psychiatric services 1 day per week during day shifts at an on-site facility in Louisville, Kentucky, within an eating disorder setting. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management for patients ages 13 and up. An active Kentucky nursing license, active Medicaid enrollment, and an active CAPA-CS or Kentucky Board exemption for controlled substance prescribing are required for this assignment. Board certification and prescriptive authority are required for all clinicians considered for this position.
