Job Overview Pulmonology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides comprehensive pulmonary care to patients under the supervision of a collaborating pulmonologist. The APP performs patient assessments, develops treatment plans, orders and interprets diagnostic studies, prescribes medications, and provides education. Essential Responsibilities Outpatient management of Pulmonary conditions. Seeing consults for shortness of breath, COPD, asthma, lung nodules/masses, OSA, preop pulmonary clearance, among others. Collaborating with attending physician to develop plans of care for patients. Provide patient and family education on respiratory care and treatment plans. Coordinate care with primary care providers and other specialists. Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic medical record (EMR). Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based pulmonology practice.
