Mental health nurse practitioners will evaluate and diagnose patients with mental and/or substance use disorders. The nurse practitioner will work with a collaborating.physician. The APRN will evaluate the needs of the patient and develop a treatment plan. Skills Psychiatric APRN must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
