About us Ethan Health, LLC strives to provide world-class person-centered treatment to members of the community who struggle with opioid and alcohol addiction. Ethan Health is seeking a dynamic and compassionate PRN Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with the authority to write buprenorphine prescriptions to join our team and help us achieve our purpose of "fostering wellness, longevity, and socially responsible behavior" for people with substance use disorders. We offer patients struggling with opioid addiction accessible, low-cost outpatient care in their community.
Job Description:
The Nurse Practitioner will provide care as needed to our Medicated Assisted Therapy patients in initiating and managing their treatment with Buprenorphine-Mono-Product or Buprenorphine-Combined-with-Naloxone. Provides direct clinical care of clients, including ordering lab tests, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medication within the scope of their education and certifications. The Nurse Practitioner will work with the medical director in the care and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities:
Perform initial assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and ongoing support to those with complicated addictions and other medical disorders associated to substances. Complete all required documents in a timely manner to support billing for professional services. To help patients and families understand their goals of treatment and to support the creation of a complete care plan, provide knowledge about their condition and prognosis. Analyze test findings to identify any health issues and give patients feedback. Teach and advise individuals on medication compliance Work with an interdisciplinary team of professionals to administer the best care for those patients that need not only medical therapy but behavioral health services as well. Follow-up appointments with patients to discuss how their medications and/or treatments are going. Evaluate lab results for abnormal outcomes. Maintains required licensure, certifications and CEU credits.
Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted medical license as a nurse practitioner within the applicable state. Experience providing addiction medicine services for both medically and socially complex populations; Experience managing complex substance use disorders. Current DEA licensure and prescriptive authority in state(s) where applicable.
DATA 2000
(XDEA) waiver, preferably at 275. Ability to work on-site and telehealth with diverse care teams in a variety of settings. Effective time management and communication skills. Computer literate and experience with Electronic Health Records. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen Must be absent from Federal Exclusion List
