Job Overview The Nurse Practitioner reports to the Administrator on administrative matters and receives clinical supervision from a licensed physician and may supervise other nursing personnel.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Acts independently as a distinguished expert in the medical field to provide patients with high-quality treatment and diagnostic services. Meets, assesses, and diagnoses patients in a clinical setting and provides healthcare services that meet state and national standards for caregiving. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. Diagnoses and treats acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, infections and injuries. Educates patients on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices. Guides other colleagues through consultation, mentoring, and collaborative leadership to build depth of capability, and provides unit (matrix) supervision. Creates a purpose driven environment by aligning the organization's mission, vision, and core values of improving health and promoting well-being with the strategies and goals of the Nursing team.
