Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant — Family Practice Rural Health Clinic |
Bogalusa, LA Compensation:
$90,000-$120,000, based on experience About the Role Bogalusa Family Medicine is a Rural Health Clinic serving families in the Bogalusa and Washington Parish area. We are hiring a [full-time] Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary care to patients of all ages in a steady, outpatient family-practice setting. You will manage an established patient panel alongside new patients, with physician collaboration and an experienced clinical support team. What You'll Do Provide comprehensive primary care across all ages: well visits, sick visits, and preventive care Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic family-practice conditions (diabetes, hypertension, COPD, hyperlipidemia, thyroid disorders, and similar) Order and interpret labs and diagnostics; build and adjust treatment plans Prescribe medications under a Louisiana Collaborative Practice Agreement (NP) / collaboration or supervision agreement (PA) Provide patient education and coordinate specialist referrals when needed Document accurately and completely in EMR Perform routine in-office procedures appropriate to family practice Qualifications Active Louisiana license as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP preferred) or
Physician Assistant NPs:
eligible to enter a Louisiana Collaborative Practice Agreement with prescriptive authority; current Louisiana CDS permit and DEA registration, or the ability to obtain both prior to start Family practice or primary care experience preferred Comfort managing a broad, all-ages patient panel Current BLS certification Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding, and HIPAA compliance Schedule & Benefits [Full-time, Monday-Friday, no weekend or hospital call]
