BAART Programs is seeking a Program Physician to provide compassionate, evidence-based care within our opioid addiction treatment and integrated healthcare clinic. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver medication-assisted treatment, manage co-occurring medical and mental health conditions, and support patients throughout their recovery journey. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, prescribing and monitoring methadone/buprenorphine, collaborating closely with counselors and nurses, and ensuring high standards of safety and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Provide direct medical care and medication-assisted treatment to patients with opioid use disorder Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, including history, physical exams, and treatment planning Prescribe and manage methadone, buprenorphine, and related medications in compliance with regulations Monitor treatment response, adjust care plans, and coordinate with counseling and nursing staff Manage co-occurring medical and mental health conditions within an integrated care model Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR and ensure regulatory compliance Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and quality improvement initiatives Educate patients and families on addiction, recovery, and health maintenance Support a culture of compassion, respect, and dignity in all patient interactions Contribute to program development and clinical best practices Required Skills Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder Clinical assessment and diagnosis Controlled substance prescribing and monitoring Integrated primary care for complex patients Management of co-occurring mental health disorders Care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Motivational interviewing and patient counseling Regulatory compliance (federal and state OTP regulations) Management of withdrawal and stabilization protocols
