Urgent Care / Family Practice Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic medical conditions Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Prescribe medications and provide appropriate patient education Order and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic studies Treat common urgent-care conditions including respiratory infections, sinusitis, influenza, COVID-19, urinary tract infections, minor injuries, skin conditions, gastrointestinal complaints, and other acute illnesses Manage common chronic conditions and provide appropriate follow-up Perform or assist with common office-based procedures within scope of practice Provide appropriate referrals to specialists when indicated Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals when appropriate Provide a professional, compassionate, and positive patient experience Qualifications Current APRN/NP license in Louisiana or eligibility for Louisiana licensure Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification preferred Minimum 3 years of nurse practitioner clinical experience Current DEA registration or eligibility Current BLS certification Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while appropriately collaborating with other providers Strong documentation and organizational skills Experience in urgent care, family practice, primary care, or emergency medicine preferred What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity to work with an established and growing healthcare organization Supportive clinical environment Diverse patient population Opportunity for professional growth Collaborative relationship with experienced healthcare providers Modern clinical setting About Redi-Med Urgent Care Redi-Med Urgent Care is committed to providing accessible, high-quality medical care to patients in the Northshore community.
