Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide advanced clinical care, perform comprehensive patient assessments, and collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and long-term care facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your diverse skill set in a fast-paced environment dedicated to improving patient outcomes and enhancing quality of life. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adult populations. Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Manage acute and chronic conditions such as pain, infectious diseases, gastrointestinal issues, and critical care needs. Perform specialized procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines to develop comprehensive care plans and ensure seamless patient management. Participate in clinical research initiatives, case management activities, and telehealth consultations to expand access to quality care. Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in advanced practice nursing. Demonstrated experience working in diverse clinical settings such as hospitals, emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Athenahealth, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and pharmacology. Experience with procedures such as suturing, and sterile technique. Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), HIPAA compliance standards, and drug enforcement regulations (DEA). Background in critical care (ICU), emergency medicine (ER), internal medicine, geriatrics or pediatrics is highly desirable. Additional skills in telehealth delivery, behavioral health management, pain management strategies, hospice & palliative medicine knowledge are advantageous. Excellent client communication skills with a passion for delivering empathetic patient care across diverse populations including individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
