Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiological evaluations. Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Manage acute and chronic conditions across specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, pain management, and emergency medicine. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Athena and Epic for accurate medical documentation and patient records management. Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Provide telehealth consultations and participate in clinical research initiatives to advance evidence-based practices. Qualifications Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in your practicing state. Demonstrated experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative care, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth; experience with telehealth platforms is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, pharmacology (including CPT coding), and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Skilled in performing procedures like venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and specimen collection/processing. Experience working in various clinical settings such as hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, nursing homes, or home care environments. Familiarity with complex medical conditions including infectious disease care, acute pain management, diabetes, hypertension, and occupational health practices.
