Experience Preferred Nurse Practitioner Provides direct patient care, discussing patient symptoms and concerns and performing thorough examinations to diagnose their medical problem and prescribe medication or create a treatment plan if necessary. When required, collaborates with physician(s) to treat for more advanced illnesses or injuries. Read, write, and communicate effectively in English. BLS(CPR) Certification required Nurse Practitioner Licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Nurse practitioners practicing in the State of Louisiana must work under a collaborative practice agreement with the physician. ACLS Certification preferred Must be able to meet and maintain current MRMC credentialing and privileging requirements. Skill in providing excellent customer service and support; organizing and prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to interact effectively and professionally with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, education, racial, ethnic and professional backgrounds. Ability to work effectively with managers, co-workers, members of the public and professional groups.
