The successful candidate will be a member of the inpatient rounding team at Saint Anne's Hospital, a Brown University Health facility. He/she will see consults and provide follow-up care to inpatients under the supervision of a Prima CARE cardiologist, will care for interventional patients before and after procedures, and will be responsible for coordinating follow-up care and communicating with Hospitalists and Primary Care Providers. Training in the supervision of cardiac stress tests can be arranged. They will not be part of the acute STEMI emergency team and will not be scrubbing in the cath lab. The schedule is three 10-hour days during the week, with day coverage on a rotating basis every fourth weekend. The NP/PA will be an employee of PrimaCARE with full benefits of an Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The NP/PA must be licensed in Massachusetts, hold a valid Drug Enforcement Agency certificate, and a Mass controlled substances registration. Familiarity with cardiac diagnoses, cardiac procedures, and cardiac medications are expected, and experience with cardiac cath patients is desirable. Computer skills, including eClinicalworks and Epic will be required. Compassion, maturity, organizational skills, and excellent communication are essential, as is the ability to work in a specialty team and within a hospital system. Compensation will be commensurate with the practitioner's experience, training, and confidence.
