Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Part Time

Crown Adolescent is seeking a

PMHNP - BC

to provide high quality mental health care to adolescents. We need to provide services at all three Crown locations (Newton, Woburn and Norwell) so we may need more than one part time contract person (1099 $100/hr). In person or remote. Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents struggling with mental health challenges? You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating adolescent patients with psychiatric disorders while collaborating closely with their families and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Duties Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and physical examinations of patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments. Prescribe medications and monitor their effects on patients. Engage in regular family contact with the adolescents parents/caregivers throughout their treatment. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using Kipu EMR software. Offer care for infectious diseases as part of a holistic treatment approach. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Stay informed about the latest developments in medical terminology and psychiatric practices. Experience The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications: Strong knowledge of physiology related to mental health conditions in adolescents. Experience in medication administration and monitoring. Familiarity with discharge planning processes. Proficient in managing medical records, particularly within the Kipu EMR system. Understanding of adolescent care as it relates to mental health needs. Knowledge of infectious disease care principles is a plus. Preferred experience with Outpatient Adolescent Mental Health. Candidates should have a valid Nurse Practitioner license and relevant certifications in psychiatric nursing. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is essential for success in this role.
