We are seeking Full-Time and Part-Time dual licensed Psychiatric/Family Nurse Practitioners for a substance abuse and mental health rehabilitation center in Baltimore City. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team of mental health providers. The selected Nurse Practitioners will work with the Medical Director and clinical team to ensure care in respectful and compassionate manner. The ideal candidates will provide ongoing care, psychiatric assessment, evaluation and medication management, and provide evaluations & consultation. Candidate should possess unique expertise and a strong focus on providing quality mental healthcare.
Responsibilities:
Obtain patient history and perform assessments using observation, interviews, and examinations Perform, and interpret diagnostic tests as needed Provide care to adult patients, ages 18 and older Provide counseling and education to patients on preventative health, wellness, treatment options, and community resources Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team Make informed, age and culture-appropriate choices, shared decision-making, and the right to self-determination
Qualifications:
Master's degree in nursing and graduate of an accredited Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner program with specialization in area of practice Must be dual licensed -Unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner license and PMH Nurse Practitioner license by the State Board of Nursing in the state of practice or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement Must hold a current Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) Registration and DEA registrations Allied Health credentialing through Medical Staff Services office required Broad based general medical knowledge Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with supervision within the scope of job required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, seek consultation when needed, and take appropriate action
