Full Job Description South Mountain Community Health is a long-standing family practice located in Boonsboro, MD. South Mountain Community Health was established in 2004 with a mission to assist our patients in meeting their health care needs and goals. We serve all people regardless of health insurance coverage status. We are proud to be active members of our community and loyal supporters of many local activities and youth sports. We're looking for a part-time or full-time Family Nurse Practitioner with a minimum of 3 years' experience in direct primary care for all age groups. Our clinic is well-established, owned, and staffed by nurse practitioners, serving the local community. Our staff holds certifications in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Geriatrics (Geri), and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). In this role, you'll have the chance to build lasting relationships with patients and their families, while collaborating with other healthcare providers, support staff, and nurse practitioner students. We need someone who is a proficient clinician, capable of handling the diverse needs of patients across the lifespan, whether they're dealing with acute illnesses, chronic conditions, or seeking preventive care. Excellent communication skills are crucial, along with a passion for teaching and a commitment to ongoing learning.
Status:
Part-Time or Full-Time (A 4 day work week is available)
Responsibilities:
Develop long-term relationships with patients and their families. Collaborate with providers, support staff, and NP students. Manage varied demands of patient care, including acute, chronic, and preventive services. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries, and resolving any issues or concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information. Stay updated on medical office procedures, protocols, and any changes in healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in direct primary care for patients of all ages. Excellent communication skills. Passion for teaching and continuous learning. Have a strong clinical background and business sense. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be mentally adaptable in a fast paced environment. Have a successful track record in primary care. Display a successful record of leading quality initiatives in a group practice setting. Exhibit dedication to support, grow and develop the Medical Group.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other computer applications. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain a friendly and compassionate attitude in a fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt to changing situations and work well under pressure.
