About Lartey Wellness Group Lartey Wellness Group is a growing outpatient behavioral health practice serving individuals throughout Maryland. We are dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health and substance use treatment through a collaborative, patient-centered approach. Our services include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, long-acting injectable medications, psychotherapy, and comprehensive treatment for individuals living with mental health and substance use disorders. We are currently seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide medication management and administer psychiatric injections. The ideal candidate also has experience treating Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), including prescribing Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) as part of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Position Summary The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, long-acting injectable (LAI) administration, and ongoing treatment for patients with a wide range of mental health and substance use disorders. Appointments are scheduled in 20
- 25• 40• and 60-minute sessions.
The ideal candidate has strong clinical judgment, excellent documentation skills, hands-on injection experience, and experience providing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including prescribing and managing Suboxone for patients with Opioid Use Disorder. This is a part-time, in-person position based in our Laurel, Maryland office. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management appointments (20, 25, 40, and 60 minutes). Administer and monitor long-acting injectable psychiatric medications (e.g., Invega Sustenna, Abilify Maintena, Vivitrol, Sublocade), including patient education and tracking of injection schedules. Diagnose and treat mental health and substance use disorders. Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications. Prescribe and monitor Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) for patients with Opioid Use Disorder. Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's clinical needs. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic health record. Collaborate with therapists, PRP staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Ensure compliance with DEA, Maryland Board regulations, and all applicable federal and state prescribing guidelines. Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting recovery and long-term wellness. Required Qualifications Active Maryland Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license. Active DEA registration with authority to prescribe controlled substances. Experience administering intramuscular (IM) and long-acting injectable medications. Experience treating patients with substance use disorders. Experience prescribing and managing Suboxone (Medication-Assisted Treatment) for Opioid Use Disorder. Strong psychiatric assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team. Schedule & Availability This is a part-time, in-person position. Applicants must be available to work: Weekday evening hours Saturdays Approximately 5-10 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours as patient volume increases.
Compensation Session pay:
60-minute appointment (CPT 99205): $90.00 40-minute appointment (CPT 99215): $60.00 25-minute appointment (CPT 99214): $37.50 20-minute appointment (CPT 99213): $30.00 No-show compensation: Lartey Wellness Group compensates providers for in-person patient no-shows, prorated based on the length of the scheduled appointment: 60-minute appointment (CPT 99205): $50.00 40-minute appointment (CPT 99215): $33.33 25-minute appointment (CPT 99214): $20.83 20-minute appointment (CPT 99213): $16.67 Additional benefits: Flexible part-time schedule.
