We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP) to provide high-quality medical care to clients in an inpatient substance use treatment setting.



The Nurse Practitioner will play an important role in ensuring continuity of care, supporting safe medical withdrawal management, and responding promptly to client medical needs. This position involves close collaboration with Nurse Practitioners, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive medical care to clients in an inpatient substance use treatment setting.



Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary clinical team to manage client care.



Support and oversee medical withdrawal management and related medication needs.



Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations and medical evaluations.



Assess clients for medical appropriateness for admission.



Prescribe medications as clinically indicated, including medications related to withdrawal management.



Conduct medication passes and oversee ongoing medication management.



Schedule and manage client medications through the EMAR system, ensuring accuracy and timely administration.



Order and review appropriate laboratory testing and develop treatment plans based on findings.



Respond to client medical concerns in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.



Recommend and coordinate external medical referrals when necessary.



Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation.



Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.



Participate in the development and improvement of medical policies, procedures, and clinical processes.



Build positive and collaborative relationships with clients and interdisciplinary staff.



Provide required on-call phone coverage.

Qualifications :

Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license as an FNP or AGNP.

Active DEA license.

Active CDS license.

Appropriate state licensure to practice in Maryland.

At least 1 year of full-time Nurse Practitioner experience is required.

2+ years of Nurse Practitioner experience is strongly preferred.
