What You'll DoYou'll work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team of hematologists, APPs, nurses, social workers, psychiatrists, pharmacists, and community health workers to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care for individuals living with sickle cell disease
• Evaluate and manage patients presenting in sickle cell crisis
• Perform emergency department and inpatient consultations
• Round on hospitalized patients receiving sickle cell care
• Manage chronic disease and preventive health maintenance
• Coordinate chronic transfusion management
• Provide evidence-based chronic pain management and opioid stewardship
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing
• Prescribe medications and manage refills
• Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment plans
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and community resources
• Collaborate with physicians and specialty teams to optimize patient outcomes

• Active Maryland RN and APRN license (or eligible)

• NCCPA Certification
• Active Maryland PA license (or eligible)
• BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain)Preferred Qualifications
• One year of Sickle Cell, Hematology, Hospital Medicine, Oncology, Internal Medicine, or other relevant acute care experience preferred
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Passion for providing compassionate, equitable patient careCredentialing through the UM Capital Region Health Medical Staff Office is required.

Salary is commensurate with clinical experience.
