Job Description

Position:
Physician Assistant /Nurse Practitioner. Temporary, part-time position Position Overview We are hiring a temporary, part-time nurse practitioner/physician assistant to replace our current provider who will be away on maternity leave for approximately 4 months. The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will work under the direct supervision of the clinic physician according to the medical protocol set forth by Medi-Weightloss Clinics®. Under general direction, the PA/NP provides patient care; conducts physical exams; completes health history summary; documents patients' progress; assists with patient care management. Essential Job Functions Obtains and reviews patient's medical and psychosocial history information relevant to patient care Conducts physical examinations Orders and reviews laboratory studies as well as diagnostic procedures; including ECGs Assumes responsibility for prescribing and dispensing FDA approved appetite suppressants according to state and federal guidelines Reviews patient's progress and manages patient care accordingly Maintains all required documentation for patient care and medication management Documents patient progress notes in the patient's EMR. Conducts consultations with patients regarding the Medi-Weightloss Clinics® program Performs other clinical duties as required Conducts follow up calls to patients to discuss the patient's progress and address any concerns Motivational counseling/advising skills Must be able to multi-task, apply critical thinking skills, and provide highest level of customer service at all levels of the operation Interpersonal / human relations skills Ability to work with as part of the clinic team and corporate structure
Job Type:
Temporary. Part-time Requirements Valid DEA and Maine license PA or NP experience (1 year preferred), but fresh graduates enncouraged to apply.
Salary:
Starting at $65 per hour
