Position Overview:
Henry Ford Health System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurosciences team. This role focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination of patients with acute and chronic neurologic conditions, serving as a first-line provider to patients and their families in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The NP/PA will provide inpatient and outpatient medical care while working closely with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the care team to ensure high-quality, efficient, and evidence-based patient care. Responsibilities include patient evaluation and management, development of treatment plans, coordination of care, patient education, and performing specialty-specific procedures as indicated by training, experience, and credentialing. Qualifications1-2 years of neuroscience experience as an APP requiredNP or PA graduate from an accredited programCurrent (or in-process) Michigan licensureNational certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)BLS required; ACLS required (or obtained after hire) 
Credentials:
 Education & TrainingPhysician Assistant (PA): Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)Nurse Practitioner (NP): Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) LicensureCurrent licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required). 
CertificationPA:
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
NP:
National certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan (e.g., ANCC, AANP) Required CertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) - requiredAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - required (may be obtained after hire)DEA /
Controlled Substance LicensurePA:
DEA and Michigan Controlled Substance License (CSL) required through credentialing
